Of Denver Fenton and The Bryant Durham

The Bizarre Case

On June 17th a prisoner of the state of Georgia, Denver Allen Fenton -accused of murdering another cell mate in 2015- engaged in a heated argument with Superior Court Judge Bryant Durham Jr. when he appeared before the judge. The meeting was held over the possibility of having a different legal representative assigned to Allen’s case due to alleged sexual misconduct on the part of the lawyer. The result was an intense exchange between the two that resulted in one of the most bizarre court transcripts ever made. Reader warning that the following contains many expletives and other potentially unsettling elements.

The entire incident began when Allen requested a new lawyer stating his current attorney was attempting to blackmail him into performing fellatio on him. The judge attempted to refute the defendant's claims and the two began arguing over if Allen was allowed to have a different lawyer. While the defendant attacked the validity of his lawyer, the judge challenged the claim and the two began to argue over paperwork and information surrounding the case and especially the misconduct of Allen's lawyer.

The pair then began to bicker over the nature of courtroom and legal proceedings eventually resulting in an angry out lash. Allen then begins descending into condescending and rude remarks against the judge who in defiance of professionalism in a courtroom setting, began to also sling remarks back against the defendant.

At several points, the judge made scathing comments to Allen including telling him that “(he) looks like a queer,” and asking if he liked “butt boys,” At one point, during the inevitable part of the conversation that should be about penises, the judge challenged Allen to begin masturbating in the courtroom and asking how many hands he needed after Allen told him to take off the handcuffs so he could.

Allen then verbally attacked the judge with several zingers of his own accusing the judge of being a “fuckman", and a “horse-ass cracka.” Both individuals eventually became so angry that their ability to insult each other crumbled away in some truly strange insults as Allen threatened to kill the judges kids with Durham countering he has no kids. This was followed by him threatening the nieces and nephews which the judge also attempted to say he had none of those. This was followed by the defendant listing all the of relatives he was going to kill and the judge attempting to follow the logic as though winning an argument.

Allen’s parting words are a request for the judge to suck his dick to which Durham replied “okay,” before he was escorted out and threatened to subpoena everyone present. The ending is sudden and so strange to the protracted and intense argument that it is nothing short of comedic in how both parties handled the escalating confrontation.

Honestly, the entirety of the transcript needs to be read to understand the full scope of the professional and legal fuck up that took place in Georgia. The Judicial Qualifications Commission's had sent a letter to Durham regarding his unprofessional behavior and the judge has allegedly stepped down from overseeing the case. I have provided the link here, you’re welcome.

In addition, here is Justin Roiland, reading out the transaction in the voices of Rick and Morty.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
