If there's one thing I know about myself, it's that I love TV. I love dramas, comedies, crime shows, news, and more. There have been far too many times I sat down and watched a series from beginning to end on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, and more. TV can bring you into a different world, enlighten you on social issues, and make you laugh out loud. If you're stuck on what to watch next, don't worry, I got you.*

*These are not in any particular order!

1. "Weeds", Available on Netflix

"Weeds" is one of the most underrated shows. When a suburban mom's husband dies of a heart attack, she turns to selling weed to make an income. Along the way, she gets into a lot of trouble. This show is hilarious, addicting, and you will definitely become obsessed.

2. "The Office", Available on Netflix

If you haven't binge watched "The Office" yet, what are you doing with your life? The humor on this show is spot on, and once you get past the annoying characters you will grow to love them. And have I mentioned Jim and Pam? The series finale will affect you for days, that's how much you'll love it.

3. "Parks and Recreation", Available on Netflix

Similar to "The Office", Leslie Knope and her coworkers spark some hilarious episodes. You will grow to love and appreciate these character more than you think you will at the beginning. Amy Poehler is reason enough to watch it.

4. "Jane the Virgin", Seasons 1 and 2 Available on Netflix

"Jane the Virgin" is one of those shows you see commercials for and think it will be the stupidest thing in the world, but you end up becoming addicted. In a spoof of a telenovela, Jane finds herself artificially inseminated by a wealthy owner of a hotel in Miami, Florida. The drama, humor, and reliability of this show fits strikingly well together. You'll love it, I promise.

5. "Gilmore Girls", Available on Netflix

With the new episodes coming up in November, what better time to start than now? The story of a small town is highlighted with lovable characters like Lorelei and Rory Gilmore. Their mother-daughter relationship is perfect for people who love their mothers, and the rest of the characters bring their wit to the show.

6. "Gossip Girl", Available on Netflix

This show is extremely addicting and you will soon be enthralled into the lives of New York's elite. Classic characters like Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen consume your life and you will soon feel like you're with them in the Upper East Side. But who is Gossip Girl? That's a secret I'll never tell. xoxo, Gossip Girl.

7. "Sex and the City", Available on Amazon Prime Video

"Sex and the City" is the TV version of a long chick flick. Carrie Bradshaw's endless supply of shoes and men is extremely entertaining. Carrie, Sam, Charlotte, and Miranda show what friendship really means. This is definitely worth the watch.

8. "11.22.63", Available on Hulu

James Franco stars in this Hulu original series. I call myself somewhat of a history nerd, and if you're anything like me, you'll love this show. Based on the Stephen King novel, it's about someone going back in time to save JFK from being shot. This period piece puts you on edge throughout the entire series, but will make you cry at the end. If you like time travel movies and shows, you will love this. Also, it's James Franco in 1960s vintage clothing trying to save the country. Need I say more?

9. "House of Cards", Available on Netflix

This show is meant for people who like politics. No, seriously, if you don't then you will not understand a thing. Frank and Claire Underwood take Washington by storm in this Netflix original, showing the behind the scenes workings of the government. From the media to the FBI, they get themselves into some trouble, but somehow their smooth talking always works in their favor.

10. "How to Get Away With Murder", Seasons 1 and 2 available on Netflix

Shonda Rhymes has done it again. Annalise Keating is a defense attorney who defends people who aren't always so innocent. With her team of law students aiding her cases, they somehow find themselves in a predicament. Each episode involves puzzle pieces onto what happened one night, but the whole season you're wondering what happened.

11. "How I Met Your Mother", Available on Netflix

"How I Met Your Mother" is your average sitcom with so much more. This group of friends will consume you with their jokes, memories, and hilarious shenanigans. However, it's also a love story. How did he meet the mother? You should find out.

12. "Freaks and Geeks", Available on Netflix

Somehow this series only got one season, and it confuses me so much. Young James Franco, Seth Rogan, and Jason Segel are featured in their high school years, emphasizing the difference between the stoners and the geeks. This show is hilarious, with a charm that you can only see to believe.

13. "Stranger Things", Available on Netflix

If you haven't heard of "Stranger Things" yet, where have you been? It's all everyone is talking about, and for good reason. Even people who don't like science fiction like this show, that's how good it is. The acting is incredible, story line fantastic, and the script always leaves you with a cliff-hanger wanting more.

Of course, there are so many more. But for now, get watching!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
