Since I have been in quarantine since the beginning of March, I have had a ton of free time to myself. Now yes I still had school and i am babysitting during the summer to keep myself busy, but I still find myself to become bored from my day-to-day. One way that never fails to entertain me is streaming services. I always find myself watching something new at least once month, and finishing it fairly quickly.
Here are 4 of the most bingeable shows.
1. Gilmore Girls
I started watching Gilmore Girls in early April and was finished by the beginning of May. Gilmore Girls has 7 seasons, with 22 episodes, each 42 minutes long. The show follows Rory and her mom Lorelai through her high school and college years. It comes with many different boyfriends, heartbreaks, college struggles, and twists and turns. This show kept me thoroughly entertained, and I was never once bored. Gilmore Girls is perfect for someone who wants drama with some comedy.
Also a tip: put on subtitles, the show is extremely fast paced and the subtitles help you follow along greatly!
2. Guy's Grocery Games
During quarantine, I find myself turning on food network because I have always enjoyed cooking shows. One show that is constantly on is Guy's Grocery Games (or GGG). GGG is so entertaining, from the games that the contestants, the judges sassy commentary, and Guy's hilarious one liners, this show has it all. You see the chefs cooking challenging meals within 30 minutes, and then to be judged and potentially eliminated. The winner then runs through the store trying to find 5 items to get $20,000.
This show is for any food lover that also loves a competition aspect.
3. Parks and Recreation
I recently rewatched Parks and Recreation with my parents, and I forgot how good it was. Parks and Rec is about Leslie Knope, who works in the Indiana Parks and Recreation Department in the small town of Pawnee. It follows Leslie and her friends through 7 seasons, in which there are multiple relationships that come to life, amazing character development, and Tom Haverford's many failed and extravagant businesses. When re-watching the show, I fell in love with each character all over again. In most shows, everyone hates at least one main character, but this one is different.
Parks and Recreation is one of my all-time favorites, and now it's one of my parents' too.
4. New Girl
New Girl is a comedy show about 4 people who live together navigating their way through life in LA in their late 20's. Jess is the quirky elementary teacher, who also happens to be the main character, who moves in with Nick (a bartender), Schmidt (a flashy finance guy), and Winston (a former pro basketball player), after a bad break-up. All 4 of the characters are so different, but they all work so well together. The show is so quirky and eccentric, and I have truly never seen a show like it. I am currently in the middle of season 4, but I just had to recommend this because it is one of the best comedy shows I have ever seen.
These 4 shows have gotten me through staying at home for endless amount of days, and I hope they can help you too.
