As much hate as the show gets, The Bachelor has managed to captivate our nation for 22 seasons and counting. The show's ridiculous expectation to find a husband/wife in a few short weeks of filming has us all hooked. I love it. I live for the cheesy (fake) romantic speeches, the professions of love that seem almost pre-written (and phony), the awkward dates where nobody eats, and the random men that get drunk and go home on night one. Even the spin-off shows are superb. You can bet your last dollar I am watching Paradise the second it airs. I must admit, I'm a gullible sucker, but I still have questions. Ten of my most profound are listed here. And Chris, WHICH season is the MOST dramatic season ever?

1. Do they have to pay for their own grand entrances?

Sometimes contestants plan "surprises" for the bachelor/ette. Do the producers provide these props? For example, did Corrine have to pay to rent the pink bouncy house for Nick? WHO provided that trench coat and whipped cream?

2. How would I exit the limo?

Picturing your own grand entrance or clapback in a scenario is all the fun of the show. Pausing frequently at watch parties is essential to share your opinions.

3. I can't believe he sent her home.

By the end of the season, you hate the bachelor/bachelorette, or like them significantly less. After spending week after week agonizing and rooting for our favorite contestants, watching the bachelor/ette break their hearts makes us turn against them. After I watched Nick break Raven's heart, I resented him. (But also good for Raven. She deserved better.) When Chris picked Whitney, I was befuddled. I really couldn't stand Juan Pablo the whole time, though. Who could?

4. Are they really in love?

They say it a million times. "I really did find love on this show." "This experience is so authentic." Yes, Ben. I too feel quite authentic while cruising on a yacht with one of my ten girlfriends. Our love is so real. Being a gullible sucker, I do think some contestants fall in love, but how much of this show is fake? What is this "connection" everyone keeps talking about?

5. WHY DID SHE GIVE HIM ANOTHER ROSE?

I feel like the producers keep certain people around. How much of it is really the Bachelor's choice? During rose ceremonies, do they have a list? They can't possibly remember all of them on week one.

6. Did someone tell her to say that?

Some of the girl's behavior is so ridiculous, you wonder if they are paid to say it. People lose their reputations over this show, but at what cost? Or payment? And some of the speeches the bachelor/ette gives before and after cocktail parties are just so cheesy. Nobody on that show is actually there to find "a soulmate".

7. They say the same things every season.

If you think about it, every season is the exact same. The same types of dates, arguments, and confessionals, just different people. I am sick and tired of hearing "I don't think she's here for the right reasons?" Or "I'm questioning her intentions." THEY SIGNED UP FOR INSTAGRAM FAME, ARIE, NOT YOUR SILVER HAIR.

8. How are the girls friends?

You signed up for a show where you basically get cheated on. How can you guys all be pals?

9. When is this happening in real time?

How long ago was this filmed? I have so many questions. And additionally, how long does filming go on for?

10. How much time do they really get together off camera?

We see three dates a week, and the girls sitting around the house for a great majority of the time. Does the Bachelor come by and hang with them on those off days? And what exactly goes on during this time? Is "Week 1" really just 3 days long? Are the one-on-one dates longer than a 5 minute dinner conversation where they don't eat? The amount of screen time should be very small compared to the amount of time they're actually together to be "in love".

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
