Now I hate to be super basic, but BASICALLY I couldn't have made it through my freshman year of college without my big by my side. There are so many reasons why I am thankful to be in a sorority, but having a big tops them all. I would have been a lost puppy without my big to help me get through my freshman year. My big made my big campus feel a bit smaller and helped make me feel much more comfortable. It was nice to have someone who had already been through everything I was going through, and who could help to show me the ropes, while still being a genuine friend of mine.
My big and I have established that in high school we were complete opposites and most likely would have never been friends. However, we both changed a bit as we entered into our college years, and we seem to have met at a perfect medium. Without my sorority, I probably would have never met my big, but it brought two very different people together and is going to help us balance each other out for the best for the rest of our lives.
Having a big has created a bond of friendship that is like no other I've had before. I feel like my big is a friend who will always be there for me no matter what happens, because she will always have the title of 'My Big.' When joining a sorority I was unaware of the concept of a big, and wasn't so sure what an impact mine would have on me. However I feel like having a big sister has helped me develop a friendship that will no doubt last a lifetime. The title of big-little is so much more to me than presents, crafts, and big-little poses. Being a part of a big-little relationship is an unbreakable bond that is like no other. It is almost another degree of friendship- let's just say if you mess with my big you are messing with me.
I really just want to say thank you to my big. Thank you for being such a good friend, a good big, and a good role model. You have taught me so much about college, our sorority, and most importantly life- and I appreciate every last thing you have done for me!
