I have sixteen brothers and sisters. I have many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Having a big family can sometimes be stressful, but here are five reasons why I actually do love having a big family.
1. The birthday parties and holidays
A lot of family members means having a lot of cake. I feel like we celebrate a birthday twice a month. Cake is great and all, but birthday parties also means seeing my family twice a month! Not all of us always get together, but a chunk of the family does and I love being able to spend so much time with them. Same with the Holidays, I get to spend them with my family!
2. Someone is always around
You never do get real alone time to yourself. There is someone always around. I can walk out of my room and there is my sister, I walk out of my house and there is my nephew. I love being able to surround myself with family.
3. Something is always going on
Something interesting always happens in my family. We either have a party, drama, or screaming going on. There is something to always talk about. Either it’s my niece with her boy problems, my brother with his speech problem, my sister with her work struggles, or me with my spending money issues; there is always something going on.
4. Support
When I am having an issue, I have many family members to choose from to help me with said issue. I always have someone to go to and to talk to. I have many people to Support me and to love me. I have an entire tribe to stand behind me and to always be there for me.
5. Friends for life
All my siblings and cousins will be my forever friends. My mom will always be my best friend. I have people that I trust with my entire life. People that I will Love forever. I have many memories with them and many memories that have not happened yet. They are my friends for life. I am so blessed to have a huge family.
