Big brothers have been there since the literal beginning, and they deserve much more appreciation than they get. Here's to the big brothers who have always been there.

Thank you for always being up for adventures.

Long drives wouldn't be the same without you. With so many family vacations as children, I couldn't imagine a ten-hour car ride without watching movies and playing road trip games with you (the alphabet game, anyone?). And as we got older, you were always the one who wanted to bond over a day hiking trip or go for a late-night milkshake run. Thank you for being my adventure buddy and always pushing me to take risks.

Thank you for the advice.

All of my struggles have been your struggles at some point, which means you give the best advice. You know what's best for me when I don't even know what's best for myself. Thank you for keeping me rational and being a wise sage. You tell me what I need to hear when I don't want to hear it, and it's pushed me to be a better individual.

Thank you for comforting me.

Thank you for being the one to listen to me through my tears. You are one of the most empathetic people I know, and you help to give me comfort when I need it most. Even when you don't feel like being the strong one, you put on a brave face for me.

Thank you for being proud of me.

The first time I visited you on your college campus, you took a special pride in introducing me as your "little sister." When I have good news, you're the first one to post about how proud you are on Facebook. You treat my accomplishments with as much excitement as if they were yours, and I love how important you make me feel.

Thank you for being my best friend.

You have been my best friend since I was born. I know that around you, I can let down my guard and be completely myself and you are just as transparent with me. I gossip to you like you're one of my girl friends and you're always up for sleepovers in the bonus room together. Everything is more fun with you around!

Thank you so much for all you have sacrificed for me throughout the years. You are the coolest older brother around, and I'll always be in awe of who you are. Thank you for loving me and always being there for me. I couldn't ask for a better big brother!

Love always,

Your Little Sister

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
