6 Bible Verses For The Godly Woman
Jessica Fusco

Being a woman today is hard. Constantly feeling judged on how we look, act, or what we believe in makes it hard to always feel like God is on our side. As we go along and make mistakes, it's also hard to feel like we are worthy of the love that our amazing God gives.

But God loves us and wants whats best for us.

1. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." -- Isaiah 41:10

Just like this verse says, God will strengthen you, help you, and uphold you with his hand. We all struggle with putting our full faith into him and fully believing in the fact that he will not let you fall. Although we feel like we may not need help, God is there to help us when we need it most.

2. "Whenever you feel unloved, unimportant or insecure, remember to whom you belong." -- Ephesians 2:19-22

It's hard to constantly feel good about yourself, but we need to remember who our heavenly father is and that he loves us and we are important to him!

3. "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight." -- 1 Peter

God does not care about that stupid little pimple that decided to pop up on your face or that you don't have the most expensive clothes or jewelry. To him, all of those things are insignificant. God cares about your inner beauty the most, he wants to know that his daughters are living for him. That is the real treasure in his eyes.

4. "Charm is deceptive and beauty does not last but a woman who fears the lord will be greatly praised." -- Proverbs 31:30

This one sort of relates to the previous one. God calls us to fear him and when we do we avoid falling into the sinful things of the world. Like I said before the outward things such as beauty and charm are insignificant to the Lord, what he wants is a heart devoted to him.

5. "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 2:3-5

God calls us to be humble and to put others before ourselves and to not ask anything in return. I know it's hard to always do this because it feels so good receiving things in return but as a Christian we shouldn't expect anything from the people we serve. When we serve we are doing it from our hearts and for the glory of God, not our own personal gain.

6. "God is within her, she shall not fall." -- Psalm 46:5

We can do all things with Christ. I know it's not always easy to trust this and feel like you're not going to fall or fail but when you put your faith in God, you will not fall.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
