Scheduling week. The week where we plan for the greatest schedule possible for the next semester. We meet with our advisers. We get all of our potential classes approved. We check the night before to see if there are still spots in the classes that we want. Then the day comes and as the clock strikes, the university kicks you off of the webpage two or three times and you panic because you will "never get the schedule that you want" We have all been there. Scheduling week is a rough time. However, there is no need to fear or to stress out.

1. In Matthew 6:34

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

God takes the burden of worry and anxiety away from us and gives us himself. We have no need to worry about what classes we will take 3 months from now. He has a plan.

2. In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

Go back and read that verse again. Listen to what it says! This verse is encouraging because it tells us how to glorify our Father. You may be thinking, "How can I rejoice ALWAYS or pray ALL OF THE TIME or give thanks in ALL circumstances?" But with God all things are possible. Have faith because he has a plan for this week, next week, and for next semester.

3. In James 1:2-5

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."

Do you hear the good news? Testing of your faith produces perseverance! God doesn't give you trials to watch you suffer, rather He wants to see us grow. He wants the best for you! He has a plan for your college classes.

4. In Isaiah 55:8-9

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

We over think everything. We are human. Take a minute and reflect on how big and mighty God is. That same God who made the universe also made you. He knows you by name. Now, is there any reason to stress about classes?

5. In Hebrews 12:1-3

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

There is no reason for us to grow weary or lose heart if we are chasing after God in all circumstances in life. Whatever you are blinding yourself with, throw it off and run the race that He has marked out for you! You can take on anything.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
