Life can easily become monotonous. We get caught up in what could be or what might have been while we let precious moments pass us by. Our generation has become desensitized to the complexity of life. We simply do not enjoy the basic things in life anymore. We do not take the time to do the things that we enjoy, the things that matter. We miss out on the magic that is all around us and we don't embrace the magic that is within us. And because of that, I challenge you to ...
Learn something new.
That thing that you can't stop thinking about, the one thing that you have always wanted to do... stop thinking about it and do it! Find something that you are passionate about. Splash some color onto your life and live brilliantly. By becoming a better you, you will shine brighter than you have before and will brighten the world, one person at a time.
Read a Book.
Get lost in the pages of a world unknown. Fall in love with the words that you yourself might not be able to say, or maybe didn't even know you felt. Discover the beauty of life and literature that enriches the way you think or the way you live your life, by finding the magic in the world all around you, especially in the things unknown.
Take a Risk.
Be courageous and take a leap of faith into the world unknown. Fear is a good thing. The presence of fear shows us that something is worth fighting for, that we care. Yet it's what we do with fear that matters. Look your fear right in the face and take charge of your life. Trust me, it is liberating when you realize that you can do so much more then you had ever once thought.
Unplug.
Try and take a break from the superficial life of your cell phone. Try to live your life in the moment. Don't plan a candid moment in your life just for a picture, instead make everyday full of nothing but true candid moments of happiness. If you want to talk to someone, don't hide behind your screen and text them, call them. Or better yet go see them. We miss so much by texting, we miss peoples reactions and emotions. We miss the sincerity of life as we wait for tomorrow to come, ever too eagerly, instead of living in the now.
Love.
This might be the hardest one to do. Simply love. Love people around you, even in the moments when they make it the most difficult to. Love the world even when the world makes it the hardest for you to keep fighting. Love a friend even when they might not seem to love you back. Love your family even if they might get on your nerves or think they know what's best for you. But above all else, love yourself.
Life might not always be easy but it will always be magical. We are merely specks of dust among the universe that come together perfectly to create this magical thing called life.

It is up to us to make our lives worthy of the magic that we have been given. It is up to us to ensure that we are the best possible versions of ourselves that we can be. We must remember that our lives are precious, meant not only to be enjoyed but celebrated. And we must never forget that we are strong, and capable of anything because every day holds new magic.
