The Jersey Shore gets a bad rap because of shows like the Jersey Shore. But, in actuality, there are so many things to do at the shore that are always fun and won't get you arrested. The Jersey Shore has miles of beaches, tons of great restaurants and cool and exciting nightlife. Here are just a few of the things you could try with a trip to the Jersey Shore.
1. Go to the beach
Okay, so this is an obvious one. But really, I can honestly say the Jersey Shore is probably home to some of the best beaches in the USA. They're family friendly, and the Atlantic Ocean is always refreshing.
2. The Wawa
Trying to explain the Wawa to people from out-of-state is always funny and usually ends it being defined as a "not exactly a QuickChek, and not exactly a 7-11." With F'real Milkshake Machines, amazing coffee, and summer-long Hoagie Fest, the Wawa caters to all the summer food cravings you could have.
3. Take part in Hoagie Fest
Hoagie Fest is another thing that's hard to explain, but for a Jersey Girl like me, it's hard to live without. All summer long, the Wawa has four dollar hoagies and 99-cent soft drinks. It goes on all summer, so it's hard to miss out.
4. Mini golf
For reasons unbeknownst to me, there are a lot of mini golf places around the Jersey Shore. They're great, though. You could spend hours at a course partaking in friendly competition with others or just going alone and enjoying it by yourself.
5. B&B and other great places to shop
At the shore, the B&B is the best place to go for bathing suits, sandals, and beachy clothes. They also sell boogie boards and other beach accessories. Other trendy stores at the shore are Island Gypsy and House of Lucky, both sell clothes that are like B&B but may be closer or farther depending on where you are. The B&B is the best known because it feels like it's right in the middle of everything, so it's an even distance from the beach and the bay.
6. Rent a bike
One of the best ways to get around the shore is riding a bike. There are bike lanes on the street, and it's a great way to see more of the shore, faster and easier. If you don't want to or can't bring your own bike down to the shore with you, there are multiple places at the shore that let you rent one for different amounts of time.
7. Go to the bay

8. Kohr's Ice Cream
Nothing tastes better on a hot day than ice cream. The best place to get it at the shore is Kohr's. Its ice cream specialty is the vanilla/chocolate soft serve or the vanilla/orange swirl, both are delicious! They also sell hard ice cream in numerous flavors and ice cream sandwiches.
9. Water parks
The water park is always fun no matter where you are, but the one at the Jersey Shore just has something that makes it better. The water park at the Jersey Shore has so many slides, a lazy river, and a baby pool if you have little kids. Although it's not attached to the water park, right next to it is go-kart racing which is never not fun!
