Summer is a great time to catch up on your Netflix watching. It is a time to watch a season of a show a day because you have nothing better to do; however, I am always at a loss for what to watch next. Here are a few ways to spice up your Netflix life.
1. "The Office"
"The Office" is perhaps the best TV show to have ever been created and I don’t say that lightly. I have yet to meet anyone that didn’t like it. The show is about a paper company in a boring town in Pennsylvania. All of the characters together are spectacular and the boss, Steve Carell, is ridiculous. Steve Carell is a comedic genius so no matter how many times you watch the show, you'll still laugh. I’m currently on my sixth time re watching the series.
2. "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"
This show stars Erin from "The Office" so you know it’s worth your time. It is about a woman who was stuck in a bunker for years and was freed and is trying to make it in New York City. It might only be one season long, but I’m sure you’ll finish it in a day. Also, the theme song is super catchy and has been stuck in my head for two months.
3. "Parks and Recreation"
"Parks and Rec" stars the hilarious Amy Poehler who works in Pawnee, Indiana in the Parks department. She is full of energy and has made the Parks department her life. I would be lying if I said I didn’t cry during the last episode because this show quickly took over my life. You will fall in love with every character including Lil' Sebastian.
4. "Gossip Girl"
We all want to be Blair, married to Chuck, living like a princess in New York City. Watching "Gossip Girl" makes you feel like you are a part of the wealthy friend group living in the big city by following their lives and learning about their past secrets. You will be sucked into this show in minutes and won’t want it to end.
5. "Freaks and Geeks"
"Freaks and Geeks" takes place in the 80’s and follows a group of teens who show us the various social struggles they endure. The show features young James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Jason Segel; what more could you ask for?
6. "30 Rock"
When I started "30 Rock" I thought I wouldn’t like it but I had nothing better to watch. This show has become my life. I dream about it and when I’m conscious I think about it. It is unhealthy but this show is worth it. I fell in love with every character, especially Tina Fey. If I could erase my memory just to rewatch this show for the first time, I would. It is about a show on NBC and describes the lives of the immature writers, diva actors, and powerful CEOs.
These are just a few of my favorites on Netflix so I hope you enjoy!
