Many would say the holidays are the best time of the year. They're filled with happiness, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime. Overall, it's just a wonderful time that you get to spend with the ones you love. Here are the best parts of the holiday season.
The much-needed break from school.

The end of a semester is by far the toughest time of the school year. Studying for finals, turning in projects, and hoping you can get the grade you desire. However, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Once you're done with all that, your wonderful break awaits you. You don't even have to do anything special over the break, just spending time not worried about school is something we all could be grateful for.
Spending time with family.

This, in my personal opinion, is the best part of the holiday season. As college students, many of us attend schools far away from our families and thus, rarely get to see them. Being as my family lives in Florida, and I go to college in Kansas, I look forward to the holidays every year because it's one of the few times I get to be with them. Moments with family are valuable and shouldn't be taken for granted.
Giving and receiving gifts.

Every year kids look forward to the holidays, for one thing, presents. Getting new toys, games, and other things you enjoy is a great feeling. As we grow older, we find that we get an even better feeling when being on the gifting end. The holidays give us an opportunity to make the day of someone we love, and that's something we all should experience. Plus it is still nice to get some extra money from grandma every Christmas.
The food.

Everyone loves holiday food. Being in college, for many of us, there aren't a lot of home-cooked meals. Our diets can primarily consist of ramen noodles and frozen pizzas. The holidays give us a chance to get some much-needed home cooking. Us college students need to take advantage of this before we get back to occasionally eating sleep for dinner.
