As 2016 comes to a close, let us take a clap back to some of the best meme and videos of the year. Even though everyone says this past year was awful, 2016 was definitely the year of memes; however, there are some videos worth acknowledging aside from just the memes. Personally, my favorite memes of the year were the political memes of Joe Biden about the President-elect Donald Trump. Although the memes were around the time of the election, they added a little light-heartedness humor to the situation.

Joe Biden

Kermit

Harambe

Although there are some pretty fun memes, we cannot forget some of the best videos of the year 2016.

Car Videos

Videos in the car were quite popular this year ranging from random scares on your mom to dancing and singing uncontrollably. One of my personal favorites that showed up several times during the year was Lizza lip syncing and dancing.

Water Bottle Flip

Now I do not even know how this started or where it even began, but flipping water bottles turned into a popular task nationwide. Anyone and everyone who knew about it has tried to flip the bottle while filming themselves. What I find humorous about the videos are the reactions that people have afterward and the typical dab at the end I guess signifying your "greatness".

Lip Sync Battles

Another great video is definitely the lip sync battle between Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum. I mean how can you forget those luscious locks and somewhat flattering attire Channing Tatum had to wear while performing.

Political Satire on Election

Last but not least is political satire. Personally, I love political satire and this section of videos are my absolute favorite. One of the best ones this year that were the most viewed according to youtube's statistical reviews for the end of the year is John Oliver's segment on Donald Trump.

As a recap, 2016 was a great year of memes and comedic relief especially for younger adults who participate in making memes. As I enjoyed taking a recap of some of the best videos and memes of the year, I hope my audience did as well. If you want some more of the best videos of the year, Youtube shared the top ten most popular videos of the year. In closing, I would like to thank 2016 for an interesting year and welcome 2017 to one up the previous years.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
