It's about that time. This crazy roller coaster of a presidential election is finally coming to a close. It was an entertaining, excruciating bloodbath full of off-the-wall statements, leaving Americans anticipating the end of the world. No matter what the outcome will be, citizens all over the country will be infuriated beyond measure, spewing hate throughout the airwaves, bringing shame upon all those who voted opposite of them. The world will be divided, and riots will break out across the nation.

But we're not here to talk about that. We're here to talk about the important stuff: Memes. This election cycle gave us many of them. Let's take a look at the goofs and gaffs that gave us a glimmer of hope among this soul-draining election.

Bernie vs Hillary

This meme came in all shapes and sizes, comparing where Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton stood on important issues. And by "important," I mean, important to the internet. But in the end, that's all that matters, right?

Ted Cruz is the Zodiac Killer

I...don't really know where this one came from. I didn't even know what the "Zodiac Killer" was until these memes started popping up on my news feed. But hey, they makes me chuckle, and the internet sure ate them up.

Ted Cruz's Face

For some reason, the internet loved poking fun at Ted Cruz's face. And I can kind of see why. His face can't seem to decide which emotion to show. So it shows all of them.

Trump and Hillary Sing a Duet Together

During the second presidential debate of the year, the two candidates walked freely, microphones in hand, rather than standing behind a podium. Naturally, they argued quite a bit. This made for some awesome pictures, one of which depicted Trump and Hillary singing a duet together. The thought alone is enough to make you snicker, but the picture just makes it better.

Ken Bone

The internet is strange. During the same debate that birthed the duet meme, everyone turned to an undecided voter named Ken Bone. He asked the final question of the debate, and became a living meme almost immediately. What makes him so popular? Is it is calm persona? His comfy sweater? His awesome mustache? The answer is yes.

Donald Trump

It's impossible to find just one meme of the man whom the internet hates to love and loves to hate. Here are a few golden ones, for your enjoyment.

If it weren't for the internet, this election would have been a lot harder to stomach. A bit of a laugh can fix anything.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
