Looking for a way to turn your 2019 into a year of self-confidence, crazy memories, and a whole lot of good sex? This semester may just be time for your hoe semester! If you're a single college student, you can't say you've fully lived the college experience without having a hoe semester. This is a time for you to get in tune with your sexuality and have fun, safe, consensual sex whenever you want. Think it's your time to shine? Follow these ten steps to ensure you have the best damn hoe semester of your life.

Download every dating app known to man.

Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish…these are just some of the more well-known dating and hookup apps out there. Thanks to modern technology, hooking up with cuties all across campus has never been easier! You know guys are constantly sending you "dtf?" messages, so now it's your time to shine.

Use your favorite social media sites to your advantage.

Who said you can only hook up with guys you've matched with on Tinder? Take your hoe semester to the next level and perfect the art of a smooth DM slide with that cutie on your Twitter or Instagram feed. Maybe even hit someone up on Facebook Messager, idk, I'm not here to judge how you get your hoe on.

Invest in some cute undies!

Nothing will have you feeling more confident when you're ready to get it on that some cute undies. Hit up your favorite shops and treat yourself!

Hit up some of your old flings.

Now, I'm not saying that hitting up your long-time ex is the best way to have an amazing hoe phase, in fact, you'll probably want to avoid your ex at all costs. BUT, there has to be at least one or two cuties you shared a night in the sheets with a couple semesters ago who you could totally go for a round two with.

Go out more.

Besides using an app, the prime way to meet somebody to spend the night with is to go out to a party or the bar. There are SO many people out that are down! Just remember, don't hook up with anyone if they or you has had too much to drink. If you're going to get your drink on, just collect numbers like crazy and use them to your advantage later on.

Avoid anyone who wants anything to do with commitment.

There is a time and place for committed relationships in college. Your hoe semester is not one of them.

Practice self-love all day, every day.

Unfortunately, sometimes hookups can have you feeling super used or unworthy of love, even though it really shouldn't. If you don't love yourself, it will show, and can put a huge damper on a phase of your life that can truly be very liberating. You are beautiful and worthy of all kinds of love (and also lots of orgasms)—remind yourself this on the daily.

Communicate with your partners.

Be up front from the get-go about what you want so that no one feels lead on, used, or ends up getting ghosted. You know you hate it when guys aren't clear with their intentions with you, so make sure you're crystal-clear with yours.

Practice safe sex each and every time.

The LAST thing you want to gain during your hoe semester is an STD or unwanted pregnancy. Carry at least two condoms with you and insist that they're used.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
