A letter to my high school friends because life can get crazy and we get caught up in our own lives but you guys are my world and I'm not sure what I would do without you.

Dear high school friends,

Saying our goodbyes after that last big hoorah before we all headed off to our designated colleges was a lot harder than I ever expected. I never knew quite how much you guys meant to me. I should have guessed that after spending years with you all it would be hard not to have the luxury of seeing you whenever I please.

Thank you for all the laughs and memories, I wouldn't trade them for anything. From 6th grade to senior year, to everything in between. I will never forget the high school sporting events, concerts, vacations, and dances we attended together along with the inside jokes that came with it.

Thank you for giving the best advice a girl could ask for. Thank you for being by my side anytime I felt down and needed to be cheered up. Thank you for sharing my sense of humor. Thank you for staying up all hours of the night to talk about the most random things and most importantly, thank you for never making me feel alone.

I am so lucky to have such a beautiful, inspiring, and supportive group of girls to be surrounded by. Obviously, every friend group has their ups and downs as you grow up together and this is my apology.

I'm sorry for all the real housewives fights that we got into but thank goodness we can look back and laugh at how silly those arguments were. I'm sorry if I ever didn't make enough time for you guys or took you for granted. We always overcame all of our fights because of how much we love each other.

Keep in mind, I always want the best for you guys and I'm so happy that all of you are absolutely thriving at your schools and meeting so many new friends. I can't wait to meet all your college friends and see who you chose to replace me for when I'm not there.

My biggest fear was that you all would get caught up in all of the craziness of college and forget about me and all of our memories. Lucky for me, group messages exist and we can tell all of our wild college stories.

I can't wait to see what direction life takes you and all you accomplish. Please keep me updated on all your adventures and boy problems and remember I'm only a phone call away. Summer 2018 isn't ready for us.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
