Things To Do On Your B.F.N.O. (Best Friends Night Out)

Whether your squad has been together for as long as you can remember, or you’re just starting to get close, here are some fun ways to spend time together.

WARNING: These activities are not for shy or cautious friends!

1. Buy a (larger than life) jawbreaker from the local supermarket, (just don’t choke on it when your jaw locks up)

2. Take pictures with the movie theater displays (even the kids ones - make sure to squeeze everyone into the same photo)

3. Create personal challenges for each other (they usually start with “I bet you can’t…”)

4. Buy a large bowl of queso at the nearest Mexican restaurant (try to use as few chips as possible to eat it)

5. Go on rides together at your local fair (there’s a height minimum, but no maximum…)

6. Wander around Walmart (play with random toys & pretend to be homeowners)

7. Play on the local playground (find as many silly things to do as possible)

8. Make your own movie (all you need is a mastermind videographer armed with an iPod and editing software)

9. Go ice skating (make sure to hold hands and drag each other around the rink)

10. Purchase a pop-up tent shaped like a seal (and fit as many as you can inside)

11. Make a bonfire to burn your old binders and notebooks (include marshmallows, chocolate & graham crackers for s’mores!)

11. Take a day-trip to Six Flags (and pose with as many characters as you can)

12. Do a Secret Santa (where all the presents are jokes that fit your friends)

13. Put on disguises and stalk a friend’s date (bonus points if they don’t notice)

14. Hop between graduation parties together (because grad parties are boring without your friends - go together!)

15. Play dress-up with your old clothes (or use them when you make a movie!)

16. Walk livestock together (a friend should probably own some for this to work)

17. Take a walk down to the creek & sit on the bridge (helps being in the country, there isn't much traffic)

18. Go to the zoo (take pictures with the animals and find ways to go places you aren't supposed to)

19. Host a “Friendsgiving” or “Friendsmas” celebration (potluck style - everyone brings food to share)

20. Introduce yourself to a random person (who knows, they might be the love of your life)

21. Go to the circus together (take lots of pictures, especially if not everyone gets to go!)

22. Ride mechanical animals at the mall (bonus points if you race them)

23. See who can yell the loudest in a public location (winner gets to pick the next word to be shouted)

24. Have a movie marathon ("Harry Potter," "The Hunger Games"...pick your favorite series and stay up all night!)

So now you have all the ideas you could need to plan a great B.F.N.O.! Comment any fun things your friends have done!

Shout out to my best friends for helping me remember all the crazy things we’ve done!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
