You didn't know you were going to get another daughter years ago when I came over to your house for the first time after high school got out. But here we are, 7 years later. I send you "Happy Mother's Day!" texts and you fly me out for family holidays and birthdays because just like the rest of the family - I can't miss it.

You have looked after me like I'm your own. You welcome me back into your house with open arms and hug me saying, "welcome home." You keep up to date with my life and always check up and ask how I'm doing.

I know I can come to either of you for anything. I know you're always praying for me just as I pray for you. Your very own children (my best friend's siblings) have become like my own siblings. My best friends aunts and uncles, have become my own aunts and uncles. You guys have given me a second family whether you know it or not.

Basically, you have gone above and beyond for me, more than any of my other friends parents have and I can't tell you how insanely grateful I am for you. My life would not be complete without you. I love you - your adopted daughter.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
