You’ve only been here six short months but you’ve already blessed so many hearts. You don’t know me yet but I know your mommy very well. She’s not only smart and kind, she has long beautiful hair that even the prettiest princesses would envy, piercing blue eyes that match your own, and most importantly an enormous heart despite all the obstacles life has thrown into her path. Even though she’s spent nights awake crying about how her world was falling apart, you changed all that. Her friends have come and gone. Some only coming around to say that they’ve been a part of your life instead of hers. She’s made so many sacrifices to ensure a better future for you, including cutting out people she knew would only harm you. Countless nights of sleep have been lost trying to get your father to be involved in your life. It’s okay though because you have more than enough people ready to step up and take on what would’ve been his role. You may have come a little early in her lifetime but that just gives all of us more time to love you. You don’t know this yet but anytime I call your mom crying or text her when I’m having a bad day, she sends pictures of you doing something silly or just being your cute self. Instantly my day gets a little brighter. Whenever your mommy is having a bad day, I try to get her to talk about you because it doesn’t matter what’s on her mind her mood instantly changes. I’ve never met a baby as happy as you are (When you’re not up crying half the night). I really cannot wait to see the person your mom raises you to be. If you even become a fraction of the woman she is today, I know you will accomplish the extraordinary. Through your hardest days and longest nights, I know she’ll be there to make it all better because she’s made it through the fire herself. I hope to meet you soon because you’re already a major part of my life. I hope you see this one day, smile, and know how loved you really are. Most of all, know how many sacrifices your mommy has made and how much love in her heart she has for you. She is truly a special one.
