A Best Friend Is Supposed To Be The Person You Have The Strongest Connection With

There's no one else like you and I love you so much more for it.

A best friend isn't necessarily the person you've known the longest. Honestly, it's not even the person you get along with the best. A best friend is the person that you have an undeniable connection with.

They're a person who is willing to tell you when you're wrong or you're being stupid. A best friend helps you become the best you can possibly be. They uplift you and sometimes bring you down when you need it. They're the person you call when you're upset or sad because they know how to make you feel better.

But they're also the person you call when you're overcome with happiness and excitement. It's like they are your other half, another significant other if you will. They know everything about you and it's honestly perfect.

If you are in an unhealthy relationship, any relationship, and you've tried to mend the relationship, but it just didn't work, I urge you to just leave. It really does not matter how long you have been friends or been with someone, do not let time trap you.

You deserve to be happy in all aspects of life, especially your friendships. You need someone who understands you, someone who clicks with you. Do not let time determine your relationship because not everyone is lucky enough to find their true best friend first.

And now to the most amazing best friend any person would be lucky to have;

I was lucky to have found you so young, and yes, I say found as if you were a lost puppy that I rescued. Even though you really rescued me.

We have been friends since the second grade and now we're about to be juniors in college. And honestly, I am still so amazed and impressed with our friendship.

But really, I'm just here to say thank you and that I love you and the woman you've become.

You loved me even when I didn't love myself and you taught me self-love is the most important thing a person can have.

You were always such a character and a strong, independent woman even as a seven-year-old. Trust me. Even though I forget some of our inside jokes sometimes and I only remember half of our made-up language, I will never ever EVER forget you or the beautiful things you've taught me throughout our relationship.

You have been one of the greatest factors in my life and every life decision I have ever made. And you've supported me 100% of the way, even when you thought I was being stupid and making a mistake. You were there for me.

Even thousands of miles away you were there for me because that's what a best friend does.

As we both travel back to school this upcoming fall I hope you keep in mind that although we will be 2,400+ miles apart and we will no longer have movie dates, or gym dates, or craft days, or everything else we love to do together, I will always be just a phone call/text/FaceTime away.

I love you more, always (yes, it's possible). Your very best friend.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
