I never expected to meet someone like you. Someone who made my average life bright and beautiful. This is not a love letter (well, it kinda is). This is a letter to my very best friend. The best friend I could ever ask for in this world. The girl who keeps me laughing and makes me want to be a better person.
You never realize what you're missing until you meet your person. But then one day you have her, and you find yourself laughing at the little things and annoying everyone around you. You and I are everyone's "BFF goals" because, well, let's face it. We are the perfect pair. This is a note to you. This is a thank you for giving me the comfort of knowing I have a friend for life.
I would not survive any pain without you by my side, and have no idea how I ever did before. Meeting you was a blessing. To think if we had picked different schools that I wouldn't have met you is impossible. I cannot remember life without you in it, and I don't want to ever know what it would be like. I can never stress it enough. I love everything about you.
I'm baffled how people still think that homosexuality is a choice, because we all know if it was that you and I would be a couple. I mean, we do all the couple things. My favorite thing in the world is our weekly ice cream dates, when we sit on the bench and talk about everything in the world. You're there to hold my hand through it all, and you make life so fun. I strongly believe we will die peacefully, together, probably cuddling like in the end of The Notebook.
I think of you when I hear happy love songs. Seriously. Not boys. Just you. We will always be young at heart, frolicking around in the grass and singing "Trap Queen" at the top of our lungs. We will be quoting SpongeBob in the nursing home and getting noise complaints from the cranky old man down the hall. It's not our fault we enjoy blasting "Shake It Off" at the highest volume possible. We will continue overusing jokes that are literally not in the slightest bit funny and cry from laughter. We will never stop quoting School of Rock or binge watching "America's Next Top Model."
Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for bringing out my strength when I feel that I have none. I'll never thank you enough. I love you.
Love,
Your Best Pal
