To My Best Friend Who Was A Stranger To Me Six Months Ago,

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank you enough for befriending me. You’re one of most honest and kindest people I’ve ever met. You inspire me to go after my dreams and do what I can to change the world. You’re so incredible and I’m so happy to have you as a best friend.

I didn’t know that one conversation would impact my life so greatly. But that one conversation formed our friendship and I will forever be thankful that I talked to you on that first day of orientation. It’s crazy to think that I didn’t know you six months ago when now I can’t even go a day without talking to you. I love the variety of conversations we have from classes to the Kardashians to giving advice and everything in between.

People always say that you’ll meet so many new and amazing people in college. But I never realized how true this was until I went to college and met you. I can’t even remember what life was like before I knew you. I can’t remember not texting you about the latest celebrity news. I can’t remember not going to Starbucks and Target with you every weekend. I can’t remember what it was like before I had you as a best friend.

I can’t even imagine what Summer Break is going to be like. It’s going to be so weird not seeing you every day. I’ll definitely miss our conversations and adventures. I’m already looking forward to meeting up during the summer for concerts, shopping, and looking for decorations for our apartment next year.

Our friendship is one of kind and it’s definitely something that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. It’s not too often that you find someone so alike you and I didn’t expect to find someone so similar to me at college. But then I became friends with you and whenever we’re together people say we are pretty much the same person. We have the same sense of humor, we like the same type of music, and we are both addicted to Starbucks. So thank you for being my other half.

I don’t know who else I’d take endless, ugly Snapchat selfies with, go to the cafe at 10 pm with, talk about the latest celebrity gossip with, travel to England with, obsess over every musical artist with, and experience my time at college with. I can’t wait for the next three years together and I can’t wait to tell stories about all of the amazing times I had in college because of you.

So thank you for befriending me six months ago, life wouldn’t quite be the same without you.
