Let’s face it, the food around campus is pretty mediocre. It’s not bad, but it’s not so great either. Every once and a while a gem is discovered and nothing can ever compare to what you have just experienced. Here are five of the best items you can find around NAU.
1.The Spaghetti Flatbread
The wedge just introduced a new flatbread complete with meatballs, cheese, marinara sauce and spaghetti noodles. It’s literally spaghetti on a sandwich and it’s amazing.
2.The Chicken, Spinach Alfredo Pizza
Also found at the Wedge is the chicken, spinach Alfredo pizza. It’s a personal pizza and not a meal transfer, but it is well worth the dining dollars. Instead of traditional pizza sauce, it is made with Alfredo sauce and piled with cheese, chicken, and spinach. I suggest trying it if you’re a little sick of traditional cheese and pepperoni pizza.
3. WTF Fries
If you’ve never had garlic fries, then I am afraid you’re missing out on what may be one of life’s greatest pleasures. The Where’s the Food truck makes exceptional garlic and parmesan fries. Unfortunately, the WTF truck is only open weeknights from 9 to midnight and weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
4. Boneless Chicken Wings
Over at South Campus is the Coupe which has an endless selection of chicken in any form you want. The best though, are the boneless chicken wings that come with any seasoning you could possibly imagine and a lot of fries!
5. Lunch Size Pizza
For those who are unaware, The Wedge offers meal transfers at lunch time that are not the personal size pizzas you get at night. They give you two slices of any type of pizza and the best part is, each slice is as big as your face!
