While many of us were bored at home during quarantine, Taylor Swift has managed to keep herself quite busy during quarantine.

Last week, Taylor surprised us all with the midnight release of her newest album, 'folklore'. This album shows us a different side of Taylor as it is very different from her album 'Lover' that she released last summer. If I'm being honest, I feel like almost every album that Taylor has released has a different sound to it that reveals a different side of her. 'Folklore' reveals a darker side as many of the songs are about past lovers and relationships. For some, this album can be difficult to get into because of the sound. Personally, I do really like this album, but it is not my favorite of hers. However, it is a pleasant surprise that we all needed in 2020.

Here are 20 of my favorite lyrics in most of the songs from her album:

1. And if you wanted me, you really should've showed - "the one"
2. And if you never bleed, you're never gonna grow - "the one"
3. And when I felt like I was an old cardigan under someone's bed, you put me on and said I was your favorite - "cardigan"
4. You drew stars around my scars but now I'm bleeding - "cardigan"
5. Who knows, if I never showed up what could've been - "the last great american dynasty"
6. August slipped away into a moment of time 'cause it was never mine - "august"
7. I remember thinkin' I had you - "august"
8. You're not my homeland anymore - "exile"
9. Love you to the moon and to Saturn - "seven"
10. You'll find me on my tallest tiptoes spinning on my highest heels, love, shining just for you - "mirrorball"
11. I've never been a natural, all I do is try - "mirrorball"
12. I had the shiniest wheels, now they're rusting" - "this is me trying"
13. You're a flashback in a film reel - "this is me trying"
14. Hell was a journey but it brought me heaven - "invisible string"
15. You showed me colors you know I can't see with anyone else - "illicit affairs"
16. Watching you climb over people like me - "mad woman"
17. Watch you breath in, watch you breath out - "epiphany"
18. I'm a fire and I'll keep your brittle heart warm - "peace"
19. Don't want no other shade of blue but you - "hoax"
20. I didn't have it in myself to go with grace 'cause when I'd fight, you used to tell me I was brave - "my tears ricochet"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
