Mad Men is one of those shows that puts the viewer through an emotional rollercoaster. In each episode we find ourselves in an ongoing love/hate relationship with the main character, Donald Draper. No matter the frustration we may have with good ole', Don, we still seem to find ourselves moved by his "simple, but significant" words. These are just a few of his most memorable quotes that we will never forget.
1. "Our worst fears lie in anticipation."
2. "If you don't like what's being said, change the conversation."

3. "It's your life. You don't know how long it's gonna last, but you know it doesn't end well. You've gotta move forward as soon as you can figure out what that means."
4. "It wasn't a lie, it was ineptitude with insufficient cover."
5. "What you call love was invented by guys like me...to sell nylons."
6. "What is happiness? It's a moment before you need more happiness."
7. "Change is neither good or bad, it simply is."
8. "Nostalgia: it's delicate, but potent...In Greek, nostalgia literally means the pain from an old wound. It's a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone."
9. "You want some respect? Get out there and get it for yourself."
10. "You're born alone and you die alone, and this world just drops a bunch of rules on top of you to make you forget those facts."
11. "People will show you who they are, but we ignore it because we want them to be who we want them to be."
12. "We're flawed because we want so much more. We're ruined because we get these things ands wish for what he had."
13. "Fear stimulates my imagination."
14. "I'm living like there's no tomorrow, because there isn't one."
15. "Is that what you want? Or is that what people expect of you?"
16. "Make it simple, but significant."
He scares us then he inspires us. He lets us down then he woos us. No matter the episode, we always finish wanting more, more Don Draper.
