When people talk to me about movies and television, somewhere in the conversation they begin to converse about romances. They talk about how (insert guys name) and (insert girls name) are "relationship goals." I do my polite nod and give a nervous laugh because I do not care about "relationship goals." The thing I really look forward to, and this is the first time I am admitting this because it is usually and unspoken rule for guys, is a "bromance goals." A bromance is a close but nonsexual relationship between two men. So, without anymore hesitation, here are the 11 best bromances on the screen and in real life.
1. Noel Fielding and Richard Ayoade, "The Big Fat Quiz of the Year"
You might be asking yourself: "Who are these guys?" Both are British comedians and they take part of a game quiz every few years called "The Big Fat Quiz of the Year." (It will be linked below. I do suggest you watch it because it is hilarious.) When the two get together, some of the funniest moments happen.
2. Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
The president and vice-president have shown time and time again that they are best friends.
3. Goku and Vegeta, "Dragonball Z"
This bromance is a tad complicated because Vegeta still wants to destroy Goku, but can never reach the levels of him. They have teamed up to beat great evil, but in the end, Vegeta tries to keep his rough side alive, but we all know he respects Goku.
4. Seth Rogen and James Franco.
A picture is worth 1000 words, but a gif is worth more. I will just leave it at that.
5. Chris Traeger and Ben Wyatt, "Parks and Rec."
What do you get when you put a positive, outgoing person with a smart auditor? You get these two guys; who tag team government departments and fixes them. They are a duel threat that you want to watch out for, but when you watch them, you cannot help, but smile at the two.
6. Finn and Poe, "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens"
I want a guy to look at me like the way Poe looks at Finn in his jacket. It was an instant bromance, when (SPOILER ALERT) Finn helped Poe get escape the Star Destroyer and when they meet up again at the Republic base and hug it out. My heart melted.
7. Wayne and Garth, "Wayne's World"
Now, who would not like to do a public access program with their best friend(s)? Not only that, but go to amazing clubs and watch bands play? Fun loving without a care in the world, these two were the best in the 90s.
8. Troy and Abed, "Community"
Now I have not watched a lot of "Community", but I have seen enough videos of these two together where I know I would like to have a bromance like these two.
9. Cory Matthews and Shawn Hunter, "Boy/Girl Meet World"
The true "Bromance Goals" of the 90s for kids. We all wanted to have a friend like Cory and/or Shawn to get into trouble with, along with dealing with life with. A Bromance that holds up even into the new spinoff/sequel series "Girl Meets World," These two helped define the definition of Bromance.
10. Chandler Bing and Joey Tribbiani, "Friends"
I do not think that I need to say anything about this one really. These two are just the absolute best.
11. Turk and JD, "Scrubs"
The greatest bromance on television and what I consider "Bromance goals." Turk and JD are what you look for in a bromance because even after Turk gets married, his relationship with JD might be a little stronger. (look up Guy Love on Youtube and you will understand)
"Bromance Goals" are what guys strive for. We tend to not talk about it because actions speak louder than words, but, "It's guy love between two guys."
