Bright skies, colorful foliage, and the sweet smell of cinnamon-apple wafting through the crisp air wherever you go are just a few of my favorite things about fall. Like many others, fall happens to be my favorite season. It is full of fun activities and cozy moments which I have compiled for you below:

1. The smell of fall. There's nothing like it, but it's that indescribable scent that intoxicates you when you step outside on a cool, autumn morning.

2. Pumpkin-spiced muffins/lattes/bread/cookies. Literally anything pumpkin flavored.

4. Seeing the leaves change colors.

5. Candy corn.

6. Going to Beardsley Cider Mill for apple picking and those mouth-watering apple cider donuts.

7. Getting lost in a corn maze.

8. Friday night football games.

9. Carving pumpkins and roasting the seeds.

10. Fianlly being able to drink hot coffee again without dying of heat.

11. Going on the Haunted Hayride.

12. Baked goods.

13. Valley Goes Pink.

14. Jumping in leave piles.

15. Going to Jones to pick pumpkins.

16. Warm soup on a cold Fall day.

17. Beanies and pom-pom hats

18. The Thanksgiving Day Football game against Derby

19. Getting to turn on the fire place and snuggle up with a blanket.

20. Comfort food.

21. Those really cute, instagram-worthy fall photoshoots you have with your best friends.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
