I toss around the word "whipped" jokingly all the time, but to be honest I probably shouldn't. I get it - Girls are very confusing! Us girls want to be treated like princesses, but it seems that anytime we are...we run away. Theres a fine line between acting like her prince and acting like her servant. If you act like her servant...she is going to want to find her prince, since it obviously isn't you.
So stop what you are doing and hear the difference!
Being whipped (aka, a servant).
You do everything that your girlfriend tells you to do. It's not a question... it's more of a command. You don't have a choice and you rarely ever get a thank you... I know what you are thinking "I'm doing this because I love her"...but if this is your idea of love..why isn't it being reciprocated...you are whipped. Plain and simple.
Being a good boyfriend (aka, a prince).
You do things for your girlfriend out of the kindness of your heart. You still have have your opinions and have no problems stating them. You speak for yourself and still have your own identity even though you are in a relationship. You still do things that your girlfriend asks, but she does things for you too. There is balance in your relationship.
Hopefully the goal everyone has when dating is to treat your significant other right. It's good to go above and beyond...but doing it on the daily isn't necessary and shouldn't be expected.
