There are some positives to being a short girl, but there are also many negatives. Short girls do have it difficult sometimes, but the struggles that we face are just something to laugh about!

1. Not being able to reach anything on the top shelf

Going to a grocery store, or even reaching high cabinets in your house is a struggle. Being short and trying to get something off the top shelf of the grocery store is not a good combination.

2. Concerts suck

Everyone loves going to concerts, but being short isn't an advantage when it comes to this. We have to deal with everyone being taller than us, so we can't even see the stage or who is performing. A tip to get out of this problem is to just go on someone's shoulders.

3. Pants are endless tunnels

No matter what size of leggings, jeans, sweatpants, or even dresses we get, they will always be too long on us. The most common characteristic of this problem is when the ends of our jeans/leggings get bunched up and hang over your feet. This is not a good situation.

4. Walking three times as fast to keep up with your tall friends

The struggle is actually real. No matter how fast us short people walk, we will never be able to catch up with our tall friends. They seem to be running a race compared to us, and the only way to catch up is to sprint ahead of them.

5. Your chest hitting your friends' boobs when you hug them

This is the one problem we hate. Every time someone goes in for a hug with us, we immediately hug their boobs. If only we could give normal hugs if we were just a bit taller.

6. Everyone thinks you're way younger than your age

Just because I am short, doesn't mean I am ten years younger than my actual age. I already know when I'm at the age of 30, I will be asked to show my ID because I will still be the height of a high-schooler.

7. Your feet never touching the floor when you sit in a chair

This isn't as much of a problem as it is humorous. Every time I try to sit down, people always point out how my feet can't touch the ground. I don't find it offensive because it's just straight up hilarious.

8. Never being able to see over the dashboard in cars

This is always a constant problem. The steering wheel is basically in our laps because we are so short. It's even difficult to see over the dashboard. There is a whole world out there over that dashboard we would love to see some time.

9. Struggling while standing in a pool

No matter how shallow or low the pool is, we will always have to stand on our tippy-toes in a pool. We have to do this so the water doesn't come over our heads, and it's a real struggle to deal with.

As you can see, short girls do have some struggles while dealing with everyday life. Sometimes these struggles are an inconvenience, but being short is what makes us, us. It's what creates ourselves, and we need to embrace the shortness everywhere!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
