When the air starts to become more crisp and the leaves begin to change, you start pulling out your sweaters and boots which also means cuffing season is right around the corner.

What is cuffing season?

Cuffing season is the time of year when people who are usually single find someone to date during the winter months. Basically, it's so you're not alone during the major holidays and you can force someone to go on festive dates with you.

When is the start of cuffing season?

Cuffing season can be broken down into three main parts: pre-season, regular season and post-season. Pre season is right now, the beginning of fall until the end of November. During September and October, this is the time to make a draft of potential people you want to cuff. November is when you start making cuts to your draft so when December comes along, you have a single person to cuff.

Once regular season hits, this is the time to hang out with your cuffed one and binge watch Netflix shows and do all of the cliche adorable dates. Regular season usually last until mid January.

Now post season is very important. Please be sure to end it before February if you do not plan on being with this person anymore, because once February starts, you are going to be the jerk to break it off with someone before Valentine's Day. After New Years, this is the time you should take to slowly stop spending time with the person you cuffed. You don't want to ghost them either because that is never OK to do to someone. Remember you just spent the past three months with this person and you don't want to end things on bad terms.

Who do you cuff?

This is something to really take into consideration. When you are looking for potential cuffs, you want someone you are acquaintances with. You don't want someone that is in your major, in your classes or any clubs you are involved in. Look for someone that is a friend of a friend. Someone that you see occasionally but don't see all the time unless you're with a certain group of people.

You also want to look for someone that you don't want to be in a relationship with because the entire point of cuffing season is too end things after the new year.

All in all, when it comes to cuffing season, do what you want. Fall is the start of the best time of the year, don't get caught up if you don't have someone to go apple picking or carve pumpkins with or any other festive dates. Plus, sometimes it is more fun going out with your friends to do holiday activities with instead of with someone you barely know, so don't worry if you are uncuffed this season.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
