12 Motivating Tips To Becoming An Absolute #GIRLBOSS

Alright, ladies, September has finally struck. If you are a college student, you should be all moved in and ready to take on this semester like a true boss lady that you are (or at least striving to be)!

But with college courses and extracurricular clubs starting, laundry already building up, your fridge completely empty and in desperate need of a good grocery shop, and an extreme urge to shop online to buy the cutest trending tops for your first outing of the semester to the bars, you need to find a way to organize all of these clearly important to-do's.

If you are already stressing out trying to juggle all of these pesky tasks while maintaining a social life, and that 4.0 GPA you are

aiming so hard to achieve, don't worry. These 12 motivating tips will without a doubt help you maintain that #GIRLBOSS status:

1. Organization is a MAJOR key.

The best way to stay on top of all your assignments for school, work schedule, and important events is to write them down! If you use a daily planner, whiteboard calendar, or even just reminders on your phone, you'll be able to stay on top of your game and never forget something that's due.

2.  Put on a pair of jeans (wait...jeans?)!

Now I know this definitely sounds crazy, but putting on a pair of jeans early in the morning is extremely motivating. If you are dressed cute, you'll feel cute. It's as simple as that. Not only do you look fabulous, but you'll feel 10x more motivated to get all those tedious errands out of the way!

3. Stay motivated and inspired.

If you are studying something you are absolutely passionate about or working your booty off to be able to treat yourself and pay your own rent, don't let anything get in your way and stay motivated! Putting in that 110% effort shows pure strive to be successful through any endeavor.

4. Get quality sleep, often.

I know it might be hard as college students to get a good amount of sleep, especially during exam season. But even though 2 cups of hot coffee in the morning might give you that extra boost, so does a good amount of sleep. Don't forget to give yourself enough time to rest so you feel even more energized the next day!

5. Make healthier choices.

I promise you, I understand the struggle of resisting the urge to get Chic-Fil-A for dinner more than once a week. Making healthier food choices by sticking to lighter snacks throughout the day, like maybe fruits or veggies, can allow you to feel your best little by little each day. You are what you eat, and in order to feel good, we need to eat well too.

6. Set goals for yourself.

Through your most stressful times, it is easy to forget what you are working for. Set goals for yourself in advance to keep yourself motivated and to keep pushing forward! Remind yourself often that you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to.

7.  Spare some time to work on your fitness!

Whether you spend your morning at the gym burning off all that pizza and beer carbs from the night before, or you fit in a quick ab workout at home before class, it's important to get your body moving! One workout a day can make you feel 10x better if you are feeling down and can help relieve some stress.

8. Don't let negative energy ruin your vibes.

I am a HUGE believer of surrounding your life with positivity, whether it is from specific people, places, or things. That being said, if something is negatively impacting your feelings, behaviors, and actions, it's time to drop it. No one has time to focus on negative energy that won't benefit them in the future. Only good vibes accepted here.

9.  Don't forget to give yourself a break!

With all of this hustlin' every day, it is extremely easy to forget about "me time". Put off that head start on your 5-page paper till tomorrow night. Take a night or afternoon to sit back, light a candle, eat a snack, and watch your favorite trending show on Netflix. Honestly, you deserve it!

10. Only take on what you can finish.

If you are one of those types of people that agrees to multiple commitments at once, ultimately leaving you with no time for yourself, then this one is for you. I understand your struggle but take on what you can chew. Saying yes to anything and everything can have its perks but plan appropriately. Before you know it you'll find yourself passing out at 8 p.m on a Friday night because you are too tired from the busiest week of your life.

11. Prioritize tasks and socializing with others.

Stuck between a night out with your girlfriends and studying for an exam, huh? We've all been there. The most important thing to remind yourself when you find yourself in these situations is, "what is more important?". Really don't feel too prepared for this test? Spend the night studying. Really miss your best friend? Plan a lunch date. Prioritize things in your life that are important to you while you have the opportunity.

12. Only focus on what really matters.

Each day is a new fresh start to accomplishing your goals and doing what truly makes you happy. Focus on yourself, and don't dwell on what others are doing. We all grow at our own pace and have different dreams. You have our own purpose in this world, so focus on what really matters to you!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
