The Beyhive is currently a-buzz about Beyonce's newest album, "Lemonade." The entire visual album filled with beautiful cinematography features important issues facing black women and their journey towards retribution. Aside from that, what seemed to be the largest takeaway from Beyonce's new album? No, it wasn't the fact that black women are the most disrespected people in America. Or the fact that Beyonce incorporated important black women in her video -- from mothers who lost their sons to police brutality, to celebrities such as Amandla Stenberg and Zendaya, who have been known to speak up about racism and inequality in our society. It was the question, who is Becky with the good hair? Probably the most insignificant aspect of Beyonce's entire album, yet it has exploded all over the internet. Heck, I'm even writing an article about it!
So, who is this Becky with the good hair that has been driving the world crazy, lately? Well, Bee and I haven't spoken in a while, so I don't have all the inside information. But, what I can do is guess. So, I decided to do some deep investigation about all of the famous Becky's to see if I could come up with an answer.
1. Becky G.
The first Becky that has come up on the search. A singer, songwriter, rapper and actress. Wow, she can do it all! And look at that hair. It looks pretty good to be. But, she is only 19, and I think she's a bit too young to be involved with Jay-Z (if Beyonce is, in fact, referring to him).
2. Becky from "Full House"
Wholesome, sweet, funny, down-to-earth. She's quite a catch. But wait, she's married to Uncle Jesse. And she has two sons. She wouldn't do that do her family. Also, who would think to stray from Uncle Jesse? I mean, come on, now.
3. Becky Lynch, WWE.
This Becky definitely has some interesting hair and since she's a professional wrestler, it's quite possible that she enjoys a little bit of competition. Beyonce vs. Becky Lynch in the ring. Picture it. Or don't.
4. Becky from Sir Mix-A-Lot, "Baby Got Back."
Becky (on the right), definitely has an '80s hairstyle going on, but maybe Beyonce considers this good hair? I don't know, I find the large clip on the top of her head a little distracting. Also, I couldn't get an accurate read on her personality because she doesn't say anything in the music video. I guess I'll put her in the archive and find out more at a later date.
5. Mod Party Becky.
OK, this Becky could be an option. She clearly has the nicest hair and a perfect wardrobe to match. I'm definitely going to have to research her history a bit further to see if I can come up with some more information about her.
6. American Girl Doll, "Rebecca."
According to her bio, her family calls her "Beckie," so this applies. Just look at those luscious locks! But, she is only nine-years-old so I think I'm going to rule her out for now.
7. Becky, the dog.
I don't think anyone could resist this Becky. Look at that little face! She is definitely the strongest contender on this list, so far.
8. "No, it's Becky" shirt.
This shirt, notoriously made after a tumblr post about Taylor Swift, could possible have something to do with this whole Becky debacle. Does this mean it could be Taylor Swift? Hurry, someone listen to her songs for some clues!
9. Becky's Diner.
Call Becky for some takeout, maybe? And maybe the "good hair" part is slang for herring. Like, the fish. They could have really good herring dishes there.
10. This wall.
Could this be Becky? But where does the good hair part come into play? Ugh, this is harder than I thought it was going to be.
11. You.
Are you Becky with the good hair? Don't lie to me.
I realize my name is Rebecca, therefore, I could be considered a Becky, but I can assure you it is not me. Even though my hair looks good all the time (kidding).
