I love my brother! Yes, he is a bit hairy, and he can be irritating at times, but we have a bond like no other. He’s fun loving and is always there for me. He has such a sweet disposition. He is pretty cute too! No, no! I am not into incest…gross, but he is a cutie! Here are some reasons as to why my brother rocks.

1. He always greets me at the door.

It’s so nice to have a support system and my own personal cheerleader. He never fails to show excitement every time I come home from school. When I return home from college for a break, he is sometimes initially angry at me for leaving him, but he always ends up forgiving me.

2. As long as he is feeling up to it, he will always want to play with me, regardless of his age.

My bro is so playful, and we constantly play interactive games. He is almost always up for throwing some balls around.

3. He protects me.

You can say that my brother is overprotective. He watches out for me and ensures that I am safe. Although he is smaller than me, he is still intimidating to some people, and I know that I can trust him to keep me secure.

4. He is not afraid to kiss me in public…or anywhere for that matter.

My brother is very affectionate and kisses me. Most brothers do not act so lovingly, but mine does. Boy, aren’t I lucky!

5. He is smart.

My brother is so sly and slick. His cunning craftiness always deceives me. He is too smart for me and tricks me when we are playing. Generally speaking, he is also extremely intelligent and understands me so well.

6. He is a wonderful listener.

Who needs a best friend or a boyfriend when you have all ears from your brother? He may not always respond, but you know that he’s listening and is compassionate nonetheless.

7. He is not a picky eater.

I am someone who does not understand that there are seven major food groups. I'm not the most diverse eater. My brother eats pretty much anything except for what the doctor tells him not to. He even eats off the floor! I know! He’s disgusting, but hey, aren’t most boys?

8. He loves me unconditionally.

My brother is so loving and compassionate. He truly adores me, and it’s evident. But I am quite fond of him myself, so the feeling is mutual!

9. He is loyal.

Although sometimes he acts out, he is typically extremely kind and caring. These are some important qualities that a good brother must possess!

10. He senses when someone is mean even if he barely knows them.

He must have a sixth sense, because my brother is able to know when a person is no good even if he does not know him or her very well. His sixth sense proves how reliable, trustworthy, and mindful he is.

11. He is woman's best friend!

He always has my back and is my closest friend! I love being around him, and he loves being around me. Even though we fight sometimes, we value each other’s company.

Any guesses as to who my brother is? No, he is not some adorable 4-year-old, but rather, he is a pooch! I am an only child, so my dog is a brotherly figure to me. We have our moments, like all siblings, but we are respectful to one another. Ruff! That’s a wrap.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
