So you've been home from school for break for a few weeks by now, the holidays are over, and you've probably seen most of your friends and family a few times by now. Now what? Here are some ways to combat boredom for the duration of winter break.
1. Redecorate Your Room
You probably have your own room at home which is not likely the case at school so play around with it. Move your bed and other furniture, put up cool pictures, or maybe even paint it. Make your room at home really reflect you as a person.
2. Cook and/or Bake Something
Enjoy having a fully stocked kitchen and real food and learn how to cook or bake something new. Maybe even go so far as surprising your family with dinner and dessert.
3. Work
Hey there's nothing wrong with getting some extra cash over break.
4. Watch Netflix
Here is the completely uninterpreted couch potato time that you've been longing for since September. Enjoy it before the craziness of classes resume.
5. Read a Book
There's nothing better than curling up with hot chocolate and a good book on a cold, snowy day.
6. Craft
Learn a new hobby or pick up and old one that you've been neglecting since you've been away at school.
7. Spend Time with Your Family
Go visit your grandma or eat dinner with your parents. You know that you're going to miss them when you go back to school.
8. See Your Friends Again
Whether you go to the same school or at schools thousands of miles apart, there's nothing like getting together with your childhood friends. Take advantage of every second that you can all be together because who knows when you'll all be together again.
