Instead Of Judging People, Try Random Acts Of Kindness And See Where That Gets You

You never know what small acts of kindness can do for people...

Our first instinct when meeting someone is judging them right away. Judging the way a person looks, their clothing or the flaws we might see. They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. We shouldn't judge people either by the first look either. There is so much more to people than just the way they look.

We often choose who we hang out with based on looks and sometimes we just hang out with a person because we want something from them. Or we hang out with a person because we are attracted by the way they look or we would be socially acceptable. Looks always shouldn't matter when hanging out with people. We all are designated to look a certain way but we shouldn't hold it against people.

You can judge people all you want but judging the way a person might look shouldn't be your top priority. Telling a person their flaws to there face shouldn't be a priority either. Some people or all people know they have flaws and some are better hiding it than others are. Some people flaws might be shown more than others but it shouldn't be a focal point and talked about all the time.

A person's personality holds more than a look ever does. If you keep judging people by the way they look, you're going to miss out on some incredible people. The way a person looks shouldn't determine how cool or lame they are and it shouldn't determine the factor of socializing with them. Just like we focus on the content that books hold, we should focus on the content that people hold rather than holding a person's look against them. If you do want to make judging a priority than judge people by there personality. It's all about what's inside and not many people can explain what is going on with them.

Just like you don't judge a book by its cover you shouldn't judge a person at first sight. You never know what is going on in someone's life. You never know what is occurring in someone's life and you never know what chapter you're going be apart of in someone's life. You might be apart of someone's book or you might not. There will always be a missing piece to everyone. Everyone is designated to have a imperfection and to be completely honest all these imperfections of people is what makes all of us perfect.

Rather than being mean to people or not even talking to them try to smile and maybe you can make someone's day. Careless acts of kindness can really change someone's life and make someone's day. Rather than judging, at first sight, try a small act of kindness that can go a long way. You never know what small acts of kindness can do for people and you never know when you might need a little kindness from people.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
