Battle Of The Tragedies!

How to fight tragedy in a divided world (with a poetic twist)

Battle Of The Tragedies!

Seems like all I see is tragedy after tragedy but the way they going about it is real faggoty, won't stand up and squash beef like a man quick to get behind a gun or knife than to kill me with two hands. Yeah two hands in the air please don't shoot but don't bring up white supremacy cause you'll surely get the boot cause you don't talk about things that don't exist right? They'll say it's childish, all in your imagination but you ain't telling me that prejudice just cleared up right after segregation, because if that was the case there wouldn't have been any Jim Crow laws but don't bring up America's past they'll say it had no flaws or maybe they'll play it cool, laugh and smile right to your face when deep down they see you as a disgrace to the human race. And no I'm not talking about every Caucasian that you may see, there's even been black people who have discriminated against me, then turn around and say they stand up for unity? Kind of like "I'm changing the world but there are no changes in me" but Michael Jackson was the man and he told the truth because if you want to make a change it should start with you.

Unfortunately I don't see a man in the mirror, I see young boys with big hearts, wanting to grow up and do the right thing but half of them don't know where to start. Maybe it should be with that young girl with a broken heart for a change? She's already had guy troubles yet you still brought her pain. But it's not only the guys who are acting inhumane but to the ladies who are fed up and doing their "thang." Instead of taking some the responsibility you play the blame game but still expect him to be ya main "thang" so now you feel under pressure like a vat of propane, hoping to find a guy that is on the same thing. I'm just trying to find a world that can stand up and fight and not each other for a change, but for what is right because these tragedies (and believe me there are more) are preventing us from receiving what we have in store. Things like a better education system where everyone can learn to read, or food in everyone's bellies and water that is clean. But it's like nobody wants to share, they say they don't have the means but that's false because at my job I throw away food that even I can't eat, at least not if haven't paid for it first, but that's the system that we live in: a tragedy that needs a change, because I guarantee there's someone in your neighborhood right now with hunger pains and meanwhile I just threw away two pans of chicken wings. So please stand up, be bold and fight the tragedies you see, because a whole world united is much more powerful than little ole me.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
