The Boys are Back.

Backstreet Will Always Be Back in my Heart
This is not my photo. This is the Backstreet Boys. They are the focus of the article.

When I think of boy-bands I think harmonizing voices and synchronized dancing. Backstreet boys instantly come to mind when I think of boy-bands. Granted I haven't always been a die-hard fan, and probably won't ever get to that point. I am a huge fan. When did it start? Last Christmas my older and wiser sister introduced me to the Backstreet Boys. She put on their latest documentary "Show 'Em What You're Made Of". It was very insightful and didn't put any of the guys in a bad light. I enjoy listening to their music and seeing their choreographed dances. The Boys humor is hilarious. Their struggles help me believe in second chances. And their songs help me get through my struggles. Here are some of my top favorite songs. These songs are in no particular order.

1.) "Everybody (Backstreets Back)"

The song is extremely catchy and the moves. Apparently everyone knew the dance after the music video came out. That's pretty awesome!

2.) "The Call"

Personally I like the music video version of the song better. The beat is so good.

3.) "What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful"

This song is perfect for when I'm feeling down and awkward. It makes me feel better. Plus Howie actually has like a solo. And it get better: There's an a capella version. (see below)

4.) "Larger Than Life"

The dancing in this video is so good and amazing. Plus it reminds me of "Spy Kids". Specifically Nick's costume.

5.) "The One"

I love the guitar and bridge to this song. Plus I like how they dedicated the video to their fans.

6.) "Incomplete"

This song isn't too much like their others, at least in my opinion. It has sort of a rock vibe going on.

7.) "Inconsolable"

Howie has a solo in this. I'm a fan of Howie and semi get annoyed when people don't know who he is, just saying.

8.) "I Still"

It's a catchy song.

9.) "Bigger"

Sadly Kevin wasn't in the band at the time. :,( It's still a pretty good song.

9.) "In A World Like This"

The song is about someone being in love and wanting to be with the person forever despite the destruction or happy events happening in the world. And Howie's got a solo!!!! :0 !!!!! Plus I love how the couples change each time and the final couple is a same - sex couple. The Boys are progressive.

10.) "Madeleine"

This song is another one that helps me feel better when I'm feeling down. Good vocals. I also relate to this song so much. I really love it.

11.) "Show Em "

This is a good hype song if you're feeling down because someone says you can't do it. Use this song as your theme song and "Show 'Em whatcha you're made of." (line from the song)

Here's a video of the boys singing A Capella. It's long, but so worth the listen. Their voices!

These are just some of my favorite songs by BSB. I'd also like to say that it would be amazing if there was a Christmas album. Yes, they have done a Christmas song, but an album would be even better.

Like this would be a great photo to do for a throwback Christmas Album.

Disclaimer: Sorry if any of the videos are bad quality. This article is based on my opinion. I own none of these videos. Also, there are more than 500 words, but this article deserved more.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
