Meet this week’s Bachelorette of the Week, Delta Gamma’s Monica Walsh!
This Family Social Science major from Barlett, IL, is a sophomore, but she says she’s interested in all ages. Read her take on what her love life is like, what kind of guys she’s into, and why she’s never been on a bad date!
SH: Describe your love life in three words.
MW: 1. Fun!; 2. Uncomfortable; 3. Time-Consuming.
SH: What’s the worst characteristic a boy can have?
MW: Cocky.
SH: Frat star or independent?
MW: Do I really have to choose?
SH: What is your take on dating fraternity gentlemen?
MW: If you can tame ‘em.
SH: Do you believe in love at first sight?
MW: I’ve never experienced it. I took a love quiz last week, and it said that my love style is “Storage," meaning my relationships tend to evolve from long-term friendships.
SH: What’s your take on Tinder?
MW: Looks can be deceiving!
SH: Where can we find you on a Friday night?
MW: Partyin'.
SH: What’s the worst “dating” experience you’ve had with a guy?
MW: I’ve learned to never set my expectations too high, so I’ve never really been disappointed.
SH: Do you think college is actually a hopeless place to find love, or is there a chance for people?
MW: As BadgalRiri (Rihanna) always says, “We found love in a hopeless place.”
SH: What are some attributes you look for in a guy?
MW: I’m looking for someone fun, funny, emotionally stable, active and caring, with a Dad body.
SH: Is there an automatic deal breaker?
MW: Only if it bothers him that I live in a dorm as a sophomore.
SH: Once a cheater, always a cheater?
MW: I don't judge! The past is the past!
SH: Which fraternity do you think has the greatest guys on campus?
MW: Whichever one is having a party this weekend!
If you have nominations for Bachelor or Bachelorette of the week, email your suggestions to hanxx557@umn.edu. There are no actual requirements or standards to qualify, and nominations can be serious or a joke. You can even nominate yourself and I won’t tell. Please only send me names of Greeks who are single – I don’t want hate mail from angry boyfriends and girlfriends.
