What about bad boys makes them so alluring?

How many times have you had to hold your friend as she cried because another boy broke her heart? She has plenty of options but chooses to go after the guy that is no good for her time and time again. Of course, you comfort her every time she is upset, but also constantly asking why she puts up with it. She is drawn to him, drawn to making him love her the way she loves and cares for him. Why? Boys adore her but they are not the one she wants.

From a young age, girls are taught that if a boy is mean to you it is simply because he likes you. He is ignoring you on the playground when you try to play with him during recess because he does not want his friends to know he has a crush on you. What would be any different than as we get older? What changes? At what age do boys stop being mean to girls when they like them?

If girls are following the rules they are taught at a young age, it makes perfect sense why girls are often going after the wrong guy. Society has molded women to act this way and it can even be witnessed through shows like The Bachelorette.

Take Jordan Rodgers for example, he is athletic, funny, handsome, every girl's dream but why? More than likely because he is mysterious.

From the start of this past season of "The Bachelorette," viewers could tell the infatuation that Jojo had with Mr. Rodgers. Their "love" continued to develop throughout the whole season until (spoiler alert) Jordan was the last man standing. What was so different about him and made him a better fit than Robby? He displayed a bit of the bad boy image that girls love.

There was no question how Robby felt about Joelle throughout the whole season. His love and affection toward her was evident very early on and was made crystal clear when he said the three little words every girl wants to hear--I love you. Jordan took a lot longer to express how he felt towards Miss Fletcher but somehow Jojo was still more into Jordan than Robby.

During the finale, Jordan did not even ask Jojo's father if he had permission to marry Jojo until the bachelorette basically called him out for it, forcing him to. On the other hand, gentleman Robby explains how in love he is and how much he cares for Jojo to her father AND her mother. He, of course, gets the green light and even her father thought she was going to end up with him saying things to him like "I can't wait to have you in the family." She already had someone who adored her so why not end up with Robby? He seems like a great husband and will be a good dad. However, girls are always picking the guy they want to adore them instead of the guy who already does and television icons are no exception.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
