Despite Valentine's Day, February is a rather loathed month with horrid temperatures and white stuff falling out of the sky. I can only imagine how awful it must be for those from tropical regions, like the Dominican Republic. But February just turned unbearably caliente when bachata sweethearts Aventura announced their reunion shows all throughout the month at United Palace Theatre in Washington Heights. Their indecent, sexy yet sappy love songs muster stadiums of swooning fans even after the official breakup of the group in 2010.

Since then, Romeo Santos turned into El Rey de Bachata, but he remembers that everything began with Cuatro (Romeo, Henry, Max, and Lenny Santos) Reyes. They return to the Palace with a capacity of only 3,200 seats, the catalyst in their fame. "All four of us, especially me, looked like shit," Romeo said at the first reunion concert about their first ever performances. "90 pounds—he got a lumpy head but he's kinda cute and you still showed love.”

Ever since, the four Dominicans turned into practically royalty. A bit cocky and absolute machos, they have conquered hearts and accompanied us through love stories, breakups, and boys. They have been through it all with the perfect words to console our hearts. Romeo, Henry, Max, and Lenny are practically family. Especially in Washington Heights, it's as if part of the Dominican Republic were transplanted to the upper half of the island of Manhattan, and as you turn a corner, you can spot the four with a Mama Juana in hand. There will definitely be more where that came from at the Palace. Rumor has it you can buy Hennessy or Buchanan’s straight up from your seat and even a pastelito or quipe before going inside.

Ideal? I know! No wonder the first four concerts sold out in 45 minutes.

Since then:

1. Romeo isn't that boy with a lumpy head anymore.

2. He is a DILF. He had a son at the age of 20.

3. Romeo is the first Latin artist to headline and sell out Yankee Stadium in 40 years.

4. Fans have only become thirstier.

5. Not only girls obsess over him.

Songs to be on the lookout for:

- Obsesión

- Un Beso

- Mi Corazoncito

- Cuando Volverás

- Noche de Sexo

Happy Valentine's Day!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
