Rejoice, Longhorns! On Friday night, Austin officially became a big city after Shia LaBeouf was arrested outside a bar on Sixth Street for public intoxication around 7:30 p.m.
The 29-year-old actor's arrest thrust Austin into the ranks of metropolises New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, which collectively hosted LaBeouf's previous five.
Here's the moment when we hit the bigtime:
"Welcome to Sixth Street, mothaf***a," indeed.
Records for the Travis County Jail show that LaBeouf was booked at the jail at 8:30 p.m. before being released that night on an agreement to appear in court -- something LaBeouf has failed to do in the past when required.
LaBeouf was not immediately available for comment.
