Art is expression. Art is a way of life. Art is release. I could go on for days about what art is but I'll try and keep it to an article.

I could go the expected route and talk about paintings and sculptures and such but I want to explain how art is so much more. Art is more than expressing yourself through paint or sculpture. It's life itself.

The beautiful thing about art is that there is no correct definition. I'm sure you could argue this forever, but the way I see it, art is literally everywhere.

It's in the breeze that runs through my hair and curls itself around my arms and legs holding me in it's cold embrace.

It's in the flower that breaks through the cracks of the concrete as the snow melts away from the spring air warming the earth.

It's in the never ending night sky as the stars illuminate the night and take your soul to a place you've never known.

It's in the sunrise as it illuminates through the trees and makes patterns on the forest floor.

It's in the sunset as it paints a unique mural across the sky using the clouds as a paintbrush.

It's in the love that you feel for another person as you two bond and long to be in each other's presence every moment of every day.

It's in the birth of a child and the creation of a new life being brought into this beautiful world.

It's in the colors of the fields that you see from the window of an airplane.

It's in the way the sun dances across the ocean as the waves sway back and worth.

It's not only in the palaces or monasteries but in the cultures and people that surround them.

Yes, these things could be argued as just beautiful things but to be fair art is beautiful. To me art is something that makes life worth living. It's something that could help relax or inflict happiness. Art is what makes everything beautiful and worthwhile. Art is all around us. Besides Earth without art is just "eh."
