1. It’s catchy.

Let's be honest this song is super catchy. It is fun to dance to and bop your head to as you drive in the car. Her mmm-mmm's and yeah, yeah's throughout the song make it so much more fun. The lyrics and the tones are fun to belt out and sing along to.

2. It's harmless.

Take a chill pill and some deep breaths and calm down for a second. It is not the problem with our dating culture, it is the truth. Whether you like it or not this is how dating is today. It's not easy. Sometimes it sucks to be single and when you see a cute guy across the room you hope he's single too but when you find out he's not it's disappointing. At least she's not asking him to cheat on her.

3. It's relatable.

As a single girl in college, I have had this happen to me so many times. I have started eyeing someone across the room and minutes later he has a girl on his arm. I feel her when she says "This shit always happens to me" Its not fun wanting someone you can't have.

4. Let a girl like someone from afar.

Its human nature to be attracted to someone and that is all this song is, its simply attraction. She's attracted to him and bummed he has a girlfriend. Let's be honest, you would be too.

5. You tell me you haven't felt that way before. 

Tell me that you have never had an attraction to someone. We have all had an attraction to a stranger from across a room, and if you say you haven't there's a 99% chance that you are lying. You have probably been jealous of someone for dating someone you were attracted to.

6. You’d say the same thing if you were bored. 

If you were single, alone and bored and in a situation where you saw a hot stranger across the room who unfortunately was taken, you would wish they were single and want them to break up with their girlfriend so you could at least have a shot. Am I wrong?
