"I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was, to catch them is my real test, to train them is my cause."

For those of you who live under a rock and aren't sure what I'm talking about, "Pokémon GO" is the newest game that has spread like wildfire all over the world. In this app, there is a built-in GPS that tracks your whereabouts in detail. You go around your town, or anywhere else one might want to explore, and Pokémon pop up out of nowhere and you can catch them by throwing pokéballs at them. I won't get into detail, because I'm not trying to focus on the specifics of the game, but there are also things like pokéstops, which are things such as historical buildings/structures, where you can stock up on items like pokeballs and potions to heal your Pokémon. There are also Gyms, where you need to pick a team, (Team Red all the way), and your Pokémon battle other Pokémon to take over that Gym, and things of that nature. Childhood dreams came true? Right!?

Well, apparently not for a lot of people.

People are speaking out against this game and against the people who play it. Some even go as far as to say it needs to be banned or deleted.

Here's why: since the Pokémon can pop up anywhere, there has been a lot of accidents. People have been stopping in the middle of the road to catch them, and people have been running across the street and getting hit trying to capture one on the other side of the road, and people just generally making stupid decisions and getting hurt.

So I understand (somewhat) where they're coming from, because accidents and dangerous situations are indeed occurring, there's no denying that. But let's think here, there is this magical concept called responsibility, which we all have the power to use! As long as you are being responsible and using self-control before running out like a chicken without a head to catch a Charmander, there shouldn't be a problem.

Now, what is ridiculous are the people on the NO side of "Pokémon GO" with their misplaced blame. They are blaming the game itself, the company who created it, and all of the people playing it. Instead of bashing on the whole world for doing something they find enjoyable, take your anger and direct it at the irresponsible person that you should really be angry with.

People are always on their phones while they drive, whether it be texting, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, are you blaming those companies for the accidents that those people have caused? No, you blame the person, so why are we blaming a game for the stupid actions of some people.

If a person makes the decision to stop short in the middle of the road and gets into an accident, then that's their bad decision and it's on them, not the rest of us who play it with caution. If someone decides they don't feel like looking before they cross a street, that's on them as well.

Stop getting angry at the company, the game or the users of "Pokémon GO" as a whole. It is not our fault that some people clearly don't know how to responsibly play a game and when to put the phone down. It even says when you open the app, "Remember to be alert at all times. Stay aware of your surroundings." Which you would think is obvious to begin with, but clearly some of us need that reminder. The key word here being "some" of us.

"Pokémon GO" is an amazing creation.

People of all ages are getting together to play this game. It's getting people out of the house and exploring their own neighborhood, and it's actually encouraging others to make new friends that have the same interests as them. I think I've gone on a walk in the park almost every day since this game has come out. I got exercise, met new people and enjoyed playing the game on a beautiful day in the park.

People are so quick to judge, saying that by simply playing this game we "have no lives" or we're "losers." Just the other day I was at the park and there must've been at least 40 people there, which was awesome because no one knew each other, but we were just hanging out and bonding over the game. A guy that must've been in his teens drove by hanging out of his car yelling and cursing about what a bunch of losers we are. Losers? Because we're playing a game that's bringing both kids and adults out into the world. But what about people who play "Candy Crush," "Call of Duty," "Destiny," "Clash of Clans," etc, etc. These are all virtual games where people achieve pretend goals and do pretend things. The difference is that "Pokémon GO" actually gets people out of the house.

I understand why people are angry, accidents are happening and people are getting hurt. But don't blame the game or the people as a whole who play the game. Blame the individual who should take responsibility for their actions and stop taking it out on the rest of us who are enjoying the game the right way.

To my fellow Pokémon trainers, go out and catch 'em all.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
