It's no secret that when it comes to the month of April people seem to be in a slump. There is nothing really good about April. It's a month away from school being out and all you want to do is kick back, relax and enjoy the sun. Instead, you are working your butt off to meet deadlines and spending countless nights up studying for those finals that are right around the corner. Let's face it, April is probably the most difficult month of the whole year because everyone just wants to be done. The weather isn't always as fabulous either. Besides dealing with all of your deadlines, you have to deal with the bipolar weather on top of it. Sometimes, it feels like you can't catch a break when it comes to the month April. However, there is a shining light at the end of this very dim and dark tunnel.
Think of the month of April as a hard-working month, but also the last push before you can finally taste the sense of freedom. You have been working your butt off for these many months, so why would you give it all up now? Don't succumb to the month of April, because you will regret it later on. Instead of looking at all the negatives that are clearly in front of you, place positive images and things into your mind. Maybe you're going away for the summer or you're just excited to finally have some time to relax. Thinking about these positive things will start making the month of April seem like a breeze.
Even taking the smallest steps such as meeting a huge deadline or finishing that project you have been working on can take a huge load off your shoulders. Let's face it, college students aren't very skilled in juggling everything that is placed in front of them. We are messy, lazy, and we give up very easily, especially when it's so close to the end of the year like this. We don't mean to be like this; it just kind of ends up happening and then we are sitting there on our floor wondering where all the time has actually went.
Instead of sitting there and blaming ourselves for our late nights out and pure procrastination, hitting the books and getting things done will benefit you greatly. If you're the college student sitting on the ground wondering where you should go next, remember that you have so many things to look forward to. Those things are fun summer adventures, freedom, concerts, or feeling the warm weather on your face.
Whatever it is you have to look forward to, focus on that and the month of April will blow by you like a breeze. Before you know it, you will be sitting in your favorite spot wondering why you were so stressed out before, because the work definitely was worth it and paid off in the end.
