April.

The time of year when those assignment due dates that seemed so far off are finally here and you find yourself swamped with exams and projects. Summer is so close but it seems so far. Have no fear though, you are not alone; Ross Geller understands the struggle that is April.

1. When your parents call and ask how you are doing:

When the people in your hall are getting CRUNK and you're trying to cram for the 3 exams you have this week:

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F04%2F13%2F635961661634024244-1950274520_9Mpgm-1.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=183&h=6444697bdd4490ae27b55da1a20e3827d9e6eae2b4be4c5a6470391929cf1d61&size=980x&c=3859235980 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F04%252F13%252F635961661634024244-1950274520_9Mpgm-1.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D183%26h%3D6444697bdd4490ae27b55da1a20e3827d9e6eae2b4be4c5a6470391929cf1d61%26size%3D980x%26c%3D3859235980%22%7D" expand=1]

3. When your professor assigns yet ANOTHER assignment on top of the millions of others things he has due:

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F04%2F13%2F635961663606962932-388798445_tumblr_inline_ntzqrcvPST1smecsg_500.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=1010&h=bad2e810cf7ca804479a4e138ecf5986bde89c028f78e7db6b0b87c9ba505ff0&size=980x&c=1549429382 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F04%252F13%252F635961663606962932-388798445_tumblr_inline_ntzqrcvPST1smecsg_500.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D1010%26h%3Dbad2e810cf7ca804479a4e138ecf5986bde89c028f78e7db6b0b87c9ba505ff0%26size%3D980x%26c%3D1549429382%22%7D" expand=1]

I'm the child of a Marine Veteran. He may have been out of the service by the time I was born, but the Patriotic Pride he lived by has been my family's life line. I grew up with the American Flag hanging in my front porch. My dad has the "Proud to be a Marine" license plate in the front of his car. According to Katy Perry, "Baby You're a Firework." I don't know if she was referring to the Fourth of July when she was referencing fireworks, but this song has allowed this generation to rejoice. 10 Revolutionary Women To Remember This Fourth Of July

Independence Day is almost upon us, which means that for most Americans, it'll be time to bust out the lawn chairs and grills, gather around family and friends, and praise our history through patriotic garb and grand fireworks displays. It's the one day of the year where everyone forgets their political biases or historic inaccuracies, at least for a while, to look back on the hazy, illustrious history of the United States.

But, while we celebrate what people like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Patrick Henry did for this country, they are not the only ones who embodied the very virtues that our nation loves to advocate for. This Fourth of July, here are ten American women who history tends to forget, despite the groundbreaking things they did for their country.
