Apple announced their new line of iPhones this week along with a new iPad and an update to the Apple Watch among many other the things. Continuing on their long built hype as being one of the greatest companies in the world, they delivered as usual but were met with a few critiques. Regardless, Apple is doing what they do best which is manufacturing and delivering their products better than the competition.
Now here are the five Apple products coming this Fall that you can look forward to.
1. iPhone 6s + 6s Plus
The next generation is here for iPhone lovers everywhere. Apple announced its new line of iPhones that are not aesthetically different from its predecessor (with the exception of the new Rose Gold color). The wow factor comes from the actual hardware that the iPhone is using this time around. They improved the camera, the technology, and the touch screen technology. The iPhone 6s will be available on September 25th.
2. iOS9
Previewed back in June of this year and released as a beta for developers to test out, the new iOS is shaping up to be one of the better iOS updates. iOS 9 comes with an upgraded Siri interface, an improved Notes app, and an updated Maps app. Siri has been given more capabilities this time around and can even make helpful suggestions before you ask. The Notes app now has the ability to make To-Do lists and even sketch in it like an actual notepad. The Maps app now includes transit routes for a person who likes to use public transportation. iOS 9 will be available for Apple users September 16th.
3. iPad Pro
No one asked for a new iPad, rather they wished for improvements on the ones that already existed. Apple decided to forgo those comments and released a whole new product called the iPad Pro. The iPad Pro is an obvious response to Microsoft’s Surface Pro. The iPad Pro comes standard with a Retina Display and an A9X Chip—which makes this iPad the best performing iPad with 1.8 times the CPU performance of iPad Air 2. The iPad Pro comes with comparable accessories that are sold separately (the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard). The new iPad Pro will be available in November of this year.
4. Apple TV
With an upgrade overdue, Apple finally announced and update to their Apple TV product. The Apple TV can now handle a lot more and can be considered a full-fledged entertainment center. The new Apple TV will be able to play games through apps downloaded from the App Store, play music through Apple Music, and play movies & TV shows through iTunes. Siri has also been integrated into the updated device allowing the user to make specific requests which Siri will then try and find the best results. It is not known when the new Apple TV will arrive, but it will cost $149 when it does.
5. Apple Watch
Announced a year ago and released five months ago, Apple Watch has been gaining buzz. Many people (including myself) want one. At this year’s keynote, Apple announced the release date for the new watchOS and announced a new styles and lines for the Apple Watch. The new watchOS will include new watch faces, new built-in functionalities such as Time Travel and Complications, and apps that run a lot smoother. Apple also announced that it would be releasing new watch casings in Champagne & Rose Gold and new watch bands for the Sport version. They also announced that they would be pairing with Hermès to release a new line of Apple Watches with handcrafted leather bands in a Single Tour, Double Tour, and Cuff style. There is no date for when these products will be released, but here’s to hoping that they arrive before the Christmas holiday.
Needless to say, Apple has done it once again and I can’t wait to see what they bring to us in 2016.
