My dear friends,

Thank you so much for being by my side for as long as you have; it's been a long ride together and we've had many ups and downs but we're still here — through thick and thin. Our shared experiences have given us a bond that'll be unbreakable for the rest of our lives no matter how far apart we are.

But, you already know that I love you so I want to thank you for something I don't mention often enough.

Thank you for being positive — positive about life, positive about women, positive role models, positive about empowering each other at all times and so much more. When I'm feeling down, through breakups and bad memories, you offer advice and your own life experiences. You let me know that I can do anything I set my mind to, no matter the setbacks.

We build each other up. I never feel like I have to compete with you to see who can have the best clothes, the cutest boyfriend, make the most money or anything; your joys in life are my joys and my joys are yours no matter what. Every win is a celebration and you celebrate like it's your own.

I don't care if my nails aren't done, my hair is greasy and I have no makeup on. When we're together, I feel beautiful, powerful, funny and like I can take on the world because of our friendship and the kind words we share.

Our group messages are entertaining and fun, filled with happy thoughts and plans for the future. We want to see each other and we want to talk to each other all the time.

All too often we see women tearing each other down and making someone else feel as if they were two inches tall. Everyone is out to get what's best for them and no one cares who they hurt to get there. But, you, my friends, do not.

So, thank you for being you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
