“What’s on your mind?”
That there are just the four little words that many of us read on a daily basis. These four words dictate our lives even if we believe they don’t.
Think about it, when you log into Facebook, what do you read? What question do you answer? Exactly, you answer that one question probably every day or whatever days you use Facebook. But it’s not just Facebook’s fault that humanity is by definition social, it’s our fault that we let our lives dwell into online worlds. Literally right now, there are probably millions of people using social media apps. If that means scrolling through Instagram, Twitter or even posting through Facebook. But can we blame ourselves for this? Or is this just the pure definition of human socialism?
Science says humans need to communicate with each other. That may mean talking in person or over the phone or whatever or even texting, but humans want to communicate with each other. Do humans have a need to post pictures of food? Or to let everyone know exactly what they’re doing or have done or even will be doing? Is this all part of the science behind the fact that humans are required to communicate?
When someone is told they use social media too much or that they’re addicted to social media, typically they deny it or get mad. But isn’t it true? Aren’t we all addicted to social media? The question that comes to mind about social media is what the heck makes it so interesting? Why must our daily lives be interconnected with everyone else’s 24/7?
It’s funny because it’s the same people that are addicted to
social media tell the FBI that they shouldn't be able to peek in our lives and complain about privacy, But literally our entire lives are on the web. Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram...everything we believe in, everything we have done, everyone we know everything and their mother are online. Crazy right? But we all complain that we're all addicted or know someone who is and blame our kids for using it too much. But, is it really our fault that all we enjoy to do is put our lives online? Maybe its just part of the scheme behind human socialism.Everybody has their own view behind it, but like most people believe in it, social media is great and all. Trust me, I get to communicate with my cousins that live across the Atlantic almost every night. I get a good laugh at high school and college drama on my newsfeed and most importantly I get to be prime time when things go wrong. But just like anything else, when something is in excess, it could all go bust.
